Reflection on Chinese GDP ranking second in the world

GDP is often seen as a key indicator to reflect the economic development status of a country or region.In recent years,the economy of China has a momentum of increase at a high level,and the GDP reaches a new record of 33.535 3 trillion Yuan in 2009 with an increase rate of 8.7%,which exceeds that of Japan for the first time and makes China the second largest economy of the world.Under the background of high increase of GDP,it is not optimistic when analyzing the developing quality of GDP in China attentively.Some issues to be considered under the background of high increase of GDP are analyzed from three aspects,namely,the structure of GDP,the developing quality of GDP,and the relationship between GDP and social welfare.It is pointed out that to improve the developing quality of GDP and to ameliorate the people's livelihood actively should be paid more attention,in order to really benefit people from the high increment of GDP.
