Abstract

Basic conditions for tobacco growing areas,meteorological factors,status of soil nutrients and quality of tobacco leaves were analyzed in Huili,Sichuan province.The result indicates that,Huili tobacco-growing areas had a long frost-free period,suitable temperature,abundant rainfall,sufficient sunlight,while the rainfall and heat had the same changes,and other meteorological factors.The pH of the tobacco-growing soil was appropriate,the organic material was rich,and it had strong ability to maintenance of soil fertility;the content of total nitrogen and available nitrogen were high,available phosphorus and available potassium were suitable;the contents of exchangeable calcium and magnesium were high,the available sulfur content was rich,but the available zinc content is low,and the available boron content was lack.The appearance quality of the most samples were good,mostly samples had full aroma quality,the fragrance was good(mainly was delicate fragrance),combustibility was strong,but compared with the high quality import tobacco,the level of the coordination of the chemical composition in tobacco leaves was still lower.
