Abstract
With the high development of European economic integration, the enlargement of EU and the challenges facing EU under the background of globalization, the EU's original operation mechanism is no longer suitable to its needs. The outburst of international financial and economic crisis, especially the Europe's sovereign debt crisis, has brought unprecedented challenges to the EU.With the entering into force of Lisbon Treaty, the process of European political integration has been restarted, providing the EU with a stable and lasting institutional framework to address the crisis and challenges ahead.Lisbon Treaty is the inevitable result of the deepening and enlarging of European integration and also creates necessary conditions for the consolidation and further development of European integration.
