Abstract
[Objective]To explore the epidemic situation of children's mycoplasma pneumonia (MP) infection in Zhengzhou.[Methods] ELISA was applied to detect IgM antibody of 7 pathogens in the serum of suspected acute respiratory infected children and provide etiological evidence for the clinics. [Results] 7 kinds of relative IgM antibody were detected in 2907 out of 8549 detected serum samples, among which 708 cases were MP-IgM antibody accounting for 24.35% of the total positive rate and ranking the second place; 523 cases and 185 cases belonged to single infection and compound infection respectively; 8.3% of them also clinically indicated non-respiratory pathological changes.[Conclusion] MP has been an important pathogen for children's respiratory diseases in this area; MP infection takes place during the whole year with winter and spring as the epidemic peak; the preschool children are most susceptible but the morbidity decreases among the children over six years old; close observation should be made on the intrapulmonary and extrapulmonary pathological changes in order to prevention misdiagnosis.
