Clinical Analysis of elderly patients with acute gastroduodenal ulcer perforation

Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of the acute perforated gastroduodenal ulcer.Methods From 2002 to 2008 78 old-patients with acute perforated gastroduodenal ulcers were analyzed retrospectively.Results 10 Patients in this group received conservative treatment,68 cases with surgical treatment.38 routine simple perforation repair,30 patients with subtotal gastrectomy,71 cases were cured,3 died,33 cases of postoperative complications times.Conclusion Surgical operation is the first choice treatment of the acute perforated gastroduodenal ulcer.In the course of the conservative treatment the surgical operation indication should be grasped so as to improve the cure rate and reduce mortality rate.
