Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between serum antibody IgG level of pregnant women with type O and hemolytic disease of newborn(HDN). Methods Prenatal immunohematological tests were done for 754 pregnant women with type O whose husbands were not type O. Meanwhile, HDN immunohematological tests were also done for the newborns whose mothers' antibody IgG titer was ≥64. Results Among the 754 pregnant women, there were 287 with type O and antibody IgG titer ≥64. Of these women' newborns,31 suffered from HDN. Conclusion The incidence of HDN is positively correlated to the level of serum antibody IgG in pregnant women.
