Abstract
Ultrafine α-Fe2O3 powder were synthesized by homogenous precipitation method with the CO(NH2)2 as uniformity precipitation reagent and the FeCl3 as iron source. The calcinations temperature of the precursor was determined by TGA/SDTA.The crystal structure, shape and size of the ultrafine α-Fe2O3 were investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction and electron microscope. The results show that the product was α-Fe2O3,the average size of the powder was about 0.2 μm and the powder was well dispersed. The principle of preparation of ultrafine α-Fe2O3 powder by homogenous precipitation reaction was discussed.
