The meteorological forecast service for the low-temperature,ice rain,snow and freezing disasters of hubei province in 2008 is summarized in the following aspects: organizing and implementing the weather service,starting emergency response plan in time,enhancing the pertinence of decision-making service and enlarging the coverage of the weather service and the departments linkage.The problems existing in meteorological forecast service under the low temperature rain,snow and freezing weather have been reflected and the suggestions for further enhancing the meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation have been proposed.
