On the forms of miscellancous drama in Tang Dynasty

Based on scholars’studies in the past and the author’s new-found four relevant pieces of material about Tang Dynasty’s miscellancous drama(zaju杂剧), the author categorize four basic forms of Zaju in Tang Dynasty: Song and dance drama, Zaji, Boxi, Xiexi. The author also explain why Song dynasty’s Zaju is identified in broad and narrow ways. Song zaju in a broad sense inherits Tang Dynasty zaju's tradition, including the Song and dance drama and zaji; The Song Zaju in a narrow sense refers to Huajiju specifically, which is the result of the development of dramatic factors of Song dynasty’s drama.
