Abstract
COM is the base of much microsoft software and the future development direction. It provides a development mode striding development tools, OS and network. DCOM is the advance of COM aiming at distributed enviroment. This paper introduces COM/DCOM interface technology, automation and the modes of accessing components, and then shows its concrete application by a COM application instance in MATLAB.
