Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of perforating venous insufficiency of the lower extremity. Methods The lower extremity veins of 35 cases with great saphenous vein varicose(group A)and 20normal people(group B)were examined by color Doppler ultrasound. The perforating venous insufficiency of the extremity in group A was diagnosed and located. The results were compared with the surgery results. Results The diameter and refux time of perforating venous were significantly different between two groups(P0.05).After compared to the results of surgery in group A,total accordance rate, the sensitivity, specificity,Youden index, and Kappa value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of perforating venous insufficiency were 95.7%,97.1%,83.3%,80.4% and 0.776,respectively.Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound can accurately locate the dilated and insufficient perforating venous of the lower extremity.
