Abstract

Jimuni tin-polymetallic ore deposit is a sulfide type tin deposit. The process mineralogy were studied with the help of microscope,multi-element analysis, phase analysis and electronic probe. Tin exists mainly in the form of independent tin minerals which include cassiterite, stannite and canfieldite, and secondary in the form of isomorphous replacement. Sphalerite, galena, pyrrhotite and quartz in the ore have a close relationship with tin. The factors which affect the recovery of tin are analysed regarding tin mineral assemblage, intergrowth and grain size.
