Abstract
Objective To investigate the methods, imaging and clinical value of CT virtual cystoscopy (CTVC). Methods Twenty six patients underwent volume scanning using helical CT. Volumetric date was acquired, and 3D virtual cystoscopy images were generated from volumetric date using the Navigator soft ware. The CTVC images was observed from multi directions using the soft ware, Fly Through. All cases were compared with the diagnosis of fibre cystoscopy. Results CTVC diagnosed vesical carcinoma in 13 cases, including diameter1 cm 10 cases, diameter1 cm 3 cases, diameter minimum 5 mm; vesical diverticulum 2, ureter cyst 3, prostatauxe 3; normal 5. The diagnosis of CTVC were identical with those of fibre cystoscopy except that one prostatauxe was diagnosed in error as vesical carcinoma. Conclusion CTVC has proved to be a non invasive and reliable methods in the diagnosis of bladder diseases including vesical tumor, vesical diverticulum, ureter cyst and so on.
