Types,Pathes of Employment of Land-expropriated Farmers and Government Guidance——Taking Nanjing City as an example

The employment of land-expropriated farmers is increasingly becoming a serious social problem.To make the land-expro- priated farmers employed successfully is the key to solving the problem of land - expropriated farmers' living and keeping social stabili- ty.A survey of suburban land-expropriated farmers in Nanjing shows that 64% of the land - expropriated farmers have got employment in cities,mainly in the privately owned enterprises or collectively owned enterprises by the arrangement of local government,intermediar- y agencies or personal social relations.There appear three types of employment:the arrangement of the government,the employment by themselves and by others.In the light of the situation,the local government should take appropriate measures to raise the employment rate of land-expropriated farmers.
