Abstract

Antioxidant activity of flavonoids from Ainsliaea pertyoides was determined and compared with vitamin C and rutin by three models in vitro.Result showed that flavonoids from Ainsliaea pertyoides exhibited potent antioxidant activity, with 82.58% of free radicals scavenging rate.Flavonoids were also found to show strong reductive activity, which was closely accorded with antioxidant capacities.Reductive and antioxidant activities of flavonoids were similar to vitamin C,but was stronger that that of rutin, with SC50 of 66.50,39.17 and 91.06 μg/mL respectively.
