Analysis of economic benefit of Angelica sinensis in the Min County of Gansu Province

The economic benefit of Angelica sinensis as a common medicine herb was compared with that of wheat,potato and rapeseed.The results showed that from 1998 to 2003,the yield per unit area of Chinese angelica has been increasing year by year.In 2003,the fixed price of Angelica sinensiswas 3576 yuan/(10~3 kg),which was as 6.06,6.55 and 2.57 times much as that of wheat,potato and rapeseed,respectively.The input to output ratio of Angelica sinensis was 1∶2.95,which was much higher than that of wheat(1∶1.68),potato(1∶1.60)and rapeseed(1∶2.11).According to all above,it was considered that the economic benefit of Angelica sinensis was considerable,and the Angelica sinensis was one of the traditional chinese medicine that was worth to be popularized and developed.
