Clinicopathological analysis of helicobacter pyloyi infacti

To investigate the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (Hp) and pathologic changes of gastric mucosa.645 bioptic samples of gastric mucosa were detected for Hp using Giemsa staining and Warthin-Starry staining.Hp was detected in 64.5% of the samples,with a decreasing frequency order of chronic superficial gastritis,chronic atrophic gastritis,gastric ulcer,and gastric carcinoma.Hp infection was significantly related with the degree of gastric atrophy,activity,intestinal metaplasia,atypical hyperplasia of gladulan epithelium,and formation of lymphoid follicles(P0.01).Therefore,it is considered that Hp infection may lead to gastric mucosa atrophy,intestinal metaplasia,atypical hyperplasia,and is related to the occurence of gastric carcinoma.
