Abstract

Based on the new generation developing Global Ocean Data Assimilation System of National Climate Center, the assimilation experiment take place to Argo temperature /salt data during 2004-2008,TAO,OISST and SODA data were carried out an inspection certificate. The results suggested that the simulation of the 0-1 000 meters entire layer of the ocean have improved, especially obvious in the mixed layer,RMSE of temperature can reduced 3 ℃,and RMSE of salinity to 0.2psu,reduce the notable temperature simulate error of high latitude area, the North Atlantic Ocean in the Northern Hemisphere. The warm anomaly is also apparent correct in the Central and Western Pacific,Indian Ocean region. The verification by TAO time series data indicate that, assimilation can seize the seasonal temperature variation much better. In addition, after assimilation, the simulation effect can have a more steady improvement to prove that the system is stable, which builds the good foundation in the service application.
