The major change of phonological structure of Wenshui dialect has been the vowel raising in the past one hundred years.Seen from the form,the vowel raising of Wenshui dialect is characterized by raising and further raising,and the further raising is menifested by the apicalization of high front vowel and diphthongization of high back vowel.
