Abstract

Based on the known data and the field investigation, the composition and distribution types of pteridophyte flora in Wujiashan National Forest Park which is situated in the eastern part of Hubei Province in China were analyzed. The pteridophytic flora in Wujiashan National Forest Park were reported to be composed of 68 species(including of varieties),which belonged to 39 genera and 23 families. The top families distribution types were cosmopolitan and tropic-subtropic ones;the main genera distribution types were pantropical and tropic Asia ones, but temperate ones were showed intesenly while the species distribution type belonged to the east Asia type and represents the feature of subtropics transition to warm temperated area-type.Based on the analysis of geographic compositions of genera and species, the results showed that the region was a part of the center of East-Asian elements(especially China-Japan element). So it is fitted for the geographical position of this area.
