Abstract
By using of the reflectivity,radial velocity,Vertically Integrating Liquid(VIL) Water and other products of Doppler radar in Chengde,and combined with circulation situation and automatic weather station data,this paper analyzed a squall line process happened in Chengde on 25 June 2008 and discussed its evolvement character of Doppler radar echo.The results show that the strong wind locates the bulge spot of bow squall line echo.When the negative center value of radial velocity increases gradually to greater than 27 m/s and approaches the radar,the strong wind will appear.VIL value increasing rapidly and reducing sharply,Echo Tops(ET) value continuing highly have corresponding relationships with heavy convection event such as strong wind,hail and so on.This study provides reference for recognition and forecast of strong convective disastrous weather with Doppler weather radar.
