Abstract
Using numerical simulation method, taking slab continuous casting in a factory as research object, the mathematical models of molten steel flow field in a continuous casting mould were established;the flow behavior of molten steel in the mould was studied using finite volume method, the influence of the immersion depth of submerged entry nozzle(SEN),the outlet inclination angle of SEN and the casting speed on the flow field of molten steel in the mold were analyzed. The suitable parameters of SEN and the casting speed under continuous casting technical conditions of the factory are obtained, that is the optimum outlet angle-15°,the advisable immersed depth 140~170 mm and the casting speed 1.4 ~ 2.0 m/min.
