Abstract

The reaction mechanism and technics of synthesis of titanium dioxide photocatalyst from Ti(OR)_4 were introduced.X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the crystalline structure of the photocatalyst gained from amorphous TiO_2 powder heated to 650 ℃ is still of anatase structure. The studied of synthesis technics carried out at high temperatures of titanium dioxide photocatalyst gained from titanium tetrachloride shows that there is greater influence of the concentration of ethanol on the crystalline structure of photocatalyst. The crystalline structure of photocatalyst gained from amorphous TiO_2 powder heated to 430 ℃ is differentiated by the use of solvents that contains or does not contain ethanol.Rutile structure is obtained in ethanol-containing solution and anatase in solution without ethanol. The crystalline structure of TiO_2 photacatalyst is anatase with low temperature technics.Advantages and disadvantages of synthesis technics at low temperature were analysized.
