Abstract
The structure and mechanical properties and weld properties of bainite wear resistant steel plate without carbide were studied The results show: the structure of bainite without carbide is obtained if proper quantum of silicon is added into low carbon bainitic steel, which can restraint the production of carbide when bainite transforms The bainite consists of non equiaxed ferrite + martensite and retained austenite (M A) island or lath ferrite and retained austenite (Ar) The steel with this structure possesses high strength, high hardness, higher impact toughness of low temperature and better weld properties
