Abstract

Yan Emperor separates into South Yan Emperor and North Yan Emperor.The article researched South Yan Emperor.It analysed and deducted large numbers of ancient books,legends,relics and archaeological discoveries concerning South Yan Emperor,and demonstrated the meaning of Yan,the title of Yan people,revealed the commonness of various legends of South Yan Emperor in Hunan.and reached the conclusion that the construction of the splendid culture of Yan Emperor took the culture of farming as a core,and the veneration of the sun and fire as the main line .
