Be on Guard Against the Rib Fracture Complicated with Secondary Hemothorax

Objective To summarized the clinical experience of diagnosis and treats the ribs fracture complicated with secondary hemothorax.Methods The pathogenesis and treatment of 28 cases of the rib fracture complicated with secondary hemothorax were analyzed retrospectively.Results In 28 cases of the rib fracture complicated with secondary hemothorax,closed thoracic drainage in 20 cases,thoracic puncture in 8 cases.27 patients were cured,1 patients died.Conclusion We should take multiaxial position filming to patients with traumatic fractured ribs and avoid misdiagnosis caused by secondary hemothorax,and the pleural puncture hemospasia and closed thoracic drainage is an effective method to treat this disease.
