Abstract
Objective To explore dexamethasone preventive function on postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV) after laparoscopic surgery. Methods 80 patients after laparoscopic surgery were randomly divided into two groups and then used in double-blind placebo-controlled study.Such indices as PONV and pain were observed. Results The incidence rate of PONV in dexamethasone group was significantly decreased than that in control group. There was no serious complication in dexamethasone group. Conclusion The research proves the efficacy of dexamethasone preventive function on PONV after laparoscopic surgery.
