Abstract
In an Act Hib vaccine vaccination trial carried out in June 1999, 2545 children of 1~5 years old were investigated. Of the 2545 children, 1398 were vaccinated, and the vaccination rate was 54.93% , the younger the children, the higher the vaccination rate (χ 2=175,P0.01). The vaccination rates were high in families of cadres, nonnatives, individual enterpreneur, workers, low income and low education(p0.01). Systemic and local adverse reaction rates were low with 1.07% and 1.50% respretively, which showed that the vaccine is safe. The recognition of the severity of Hib infection, the propaganda of vaccination and the cost of the vaccine are important influential factors for popularization of Hib vaccine.
