Abstract

Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of rheumatoid factor(RF) and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide(CCP) antibody in the patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods:The levels of RF and anti-CCP antibody were respectively detected by immunoturbidimetry and ELISA in 73 patients with RA(group A),72 patients without RA(group B) and 65 healthy blood donors(group C).The data of sensitivity, specificity and concordance were analyzed. Results:The levels of anti-CCP antibody and RF in group A were higher than those in groups of B and C (P0.01).The sensitivity of RF and anti-CCP antibody for diagnosis of RA were 75.3% and 69.9%,and their specificity were 75.2% and 97.8%,respectively.The positive detection rates derived from anti-CCP antibody and RF assay were similar to those from RA.The courses of disease in patients with positive anti-CCP antibody and RF were longer than those with negative (P0.05),but there was no obvious difference in erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and C-reactive protein(CRP) between them.Conclusion:Anti-CCP antibody and RF have similar high sensitivity and specificity in predicting RA.
