Abstract
The optical conditions of the preparation of activated carbon from cotton stalks by using zinc chloride activation method were studied. The effects of various factors in the preparation process on the adsorption property of the activated carbon were investigated. Meanwhile, adsorbent property of the activated carbon on heavy metal ion Cr6+ was determined. The results showed that the activated carbon prepared is of high quality.
