Environmental protection consciousness and willingness to pay for agricultural Non-point Pollution in urban agricultural area

Environmental protection consciousness and corresponding willingness to pay (WTP) for agricultural non-point pollution in suburban agricultural area were examined in lots of investigation on agricultural non-point pollution in intensive farming Region in contingent valuation method (CVM). Survey results showed that the resident’s environment protection consciousness is rising and there is a positive relationship of educated ages and net income of family with WTP but a negative relationship of interviewee age with WTP. The averaged WTP was 49.18 yuan RMB per capita and the total WTP of Shunyi district was about 26.81 million yuan RMB in 2002. We examined it to attach importance to agricultural non-point pollution by correlative department.
