Abstract

Objective: To study the clinical significance of P53 overexpression in lymphoma by means of examining P53 protein of non-Hodgldn's sample. Methods:The immunochemical method was used to measure P53 protein in 10 cases with normal lymph node and 40 cases with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.Results:P53 positive was found in 23 case ( 57.5% ). P53 overexpresses in cells of patients in advanced stages in comparison with initial stage of the disease. P53 expression increase in lymphoma of lower differentiation. Conclusions: The overexpression of P53 protein is often associated with advanced stages and histological types of lymphoma. The immunohisthemical analysis of P53 expression may predict clinical outcome and development in non-Hodgldn's lymphoma.
