Abstract
Taking the Zhuxi watershed as the researched areas, this paper used the 2007 SPOT image and 1∶10 000 topographic maps as input data and used 3S technique as the platform to extract the land use/cover types and generate the elevation, slope and aspect factors. Finally, this paper analyzed the influence of terrain factors to the spatial pattern of land use/cover.The results show that:1) Forest land and cultivated land mainly distribute below 470 m and the greater the elevation is,the smaller the areas are.The distribution of the grass land is only 0.33% at an elevation from 270 m to 370 m.garden land、residential and mining land、water bodies and unused land distribute rarely from 270 m to 470 m,and there is no distribution above 470 m.2) The area proportion of cultivated land in the slope of 0°~7°accounts for the largest.Along with the slope increases, the area proportion of forest land increases gradually. The distribution of grass land is only 0.65% in slope of 0°~7°.The area proportion of garden land is maximum in slope of 7°~15°and the following decreases gradually with the slope increases. The area proportion of residential and mining land、water bodies and unused land decrease constantly with the slope increases.3) On flat ground the area proportion of cultivated land accounts for the largest, and it's area proportion is 70.46%.Forest land accounts for the largest in the four directions, and the area proportion all account for more than 60%.The area proportion of garden land is maximum in the east slope, north slope and west slope. The area proportion of grass land is relatively coincident on the flat ground, the west and the north slope, while there is no distribution in the east and north slope.
