Effects of technologies related to chemical modification of enzymes on enzymes′ stability,organic solubility,activity,specificity and selectivity under various conditions were maialy discnissed in this artide. Some current or latest eleveloped methods,snch as cross-linked enzyme crystals(CLECs),covalent modification of side groups,protein surface property alteration,combined site-directed mutagenesis and chemical modification,chemical mutation via atom replacement at the active site amino acid were focused on in detail.
