Abstract
Flocculation characteristics of flocculants MBF-33 produced by Z-67 were studied, and results showed that extracellular flocculants were produced with high flocculation activity of 97%. The active centre of flocculation was a kind of protein, and amount of flocculants production was 0.8~1.1g/L. The flocculation activity was bankrupted completely under water at 100℃ for 20min. The flocculants keep high flocculation activity in a wide pH range with the best at 4~9. Ca2+ facilitates flocculation activity of the flocculants with the best concentration of 3.6mmol/L. Results indicated that the flocculating mechanism resulted from the combination of protein with Gaoling soil by bridge at the active position of the flocculation.
