Abstract

A strain of phenol degrading bacteria was identified preliminarily as Pseudmonas sp. from the wastewater of a pesticide factory according to the physiological and biochemical characteristics, and the PCR analysis of phenol hydroxylase (LmPHs) and 16S rDNA sequence. The results showed that this strain could degrade 600 mg·L-1 phenol effectively at 35℃ and pH 7.5. The degradation rate of phenol could be stimulated with a micro amount of glucose and aeration.
