Discussion on the Design of Object-Oriented GIS Geodatabase

Abstract

This paper briefly reviewed the advancing process and characteristics of geographical database.Then it discussed the realization of object-oriented technique for database in GIS in detail.It also introduced Geodatabase which is a new data model presented by ArcGIS 8.It analyzed the advantages of Geodatabase in management spatial information data storage and predicted its future development.
