Effect of Warming Moxibustion for Different Time on Connexin 43 Expression in Moxibustion Focus of Acute Hyperlipemia Rats

Abstract

Objective To investigate the influence of warming moxibustion for different time on connexin 43(Cx43) expression in moxibustion focus of acute hyperlipemia rats.Methods SD rats were randomized into model group,and three warming moxibustion groups(treated with warming moxibusion for 5,10,15 min,respectively).Acute hyperlipemia rat model was established for the observation of Cx43 expression in the rat local skin of acupoint Shenque after warming moxibustion for different time.Results Cx43 expression level was increased in warming moxibustion groups,and the difference was significant compared to the model group(P0.01).Cx43 expression level in 10-min warming moxibustion group and 15-min warming moxibustion group differed from that in 5-min warming moxibustion group(P0.05),but the difference between 10-min warming moxibustion group and 15-min warming moxibustion group was not significant(P0.05).Conclusion Warming moxibustion is effective for the treatment of hyperlipemia,and the therapeutic mechanism is related to the regulation of Cx43 expression.
