Abstract
In this paper, taken tillage brown soils as experimental materials, the effects of the content of soil organic matter on basic physical properties of different soil bulk density were studied by using pot experiments. The results showed that organic matter treatment significantly improved soil porosity and water holding capacity, reduced the soil bulk density and significantly increased soil regulations of the water, fertilizer, gas and heat capacity. To use high soil bulk density, organic matter regulation to 4 %-5 % could get ideal results. Organic matter control limit of low soil bulk density remained to be further studied, but it was sure that organic matter content to 1. 5 % restricted the maize growth, the organic matter content at least set to more than 3 %.
