Abstract

Distanciation” is wanted to be overcome in the General Hermeneutics of Schleiermacher and Dilthey. However, it can not and need not be overcome in the Philosophical Hermeneutics of Heidegger and Gadamer. They think “distanciation” is an essential way to put the positive and creative possibility of interpretation into reality. This paper strives to elaborate the Hermeneutic meanings of “distanciation” by analyzing its necessity in Philosophical Hermeneutics and its important functions in the interpretation:it is an essential way to realize interpretation.
