Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression and differential diagnosis value of TTF-1 and p63 between adenocarcinoma of lung and squamous cell carcinoma. Methods The study selected 69 patients with squamous cell carcinoma and 62 patients with adenocarcinoma of lung. The expression of TTF-1 and p63 was detected by PV-9000. Results The positive rate of p63 was 97. 10%( 67 /69) in patients with primary lung squamous cell carcinoma, and 4. 84% in patients with adenocarcinomas of lung( 3 /62). The positive rate of TTF-1 expression was87. 10%( 54 /62) in patients with adenocarcinomas of lung, and 0 in patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma. Conclusion Combined examination of TTF-1 and p63 is valuable in the differential diagnosis between adenocarcinoma of lung and squamous cell carcinoma.
