Clinical Observations on the Efficacy of Ear Point Bloodletting plus Pricking-cupping Bloodletting in Treating Acne Vulgaris

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of ear point bloodletting plus pricking-cupping bloodletting in treating acne vulgaris.Method Eighty patients with acne vulgaris were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups,40 cases each.The treatment group received ear point bloodletting plus pricking-cupping bloodletting and the control group took medicines orally.The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups.Results After four weeks of treatment,the total efficacy rate was 95.0% in the treatment group and 77.5% in the control group.There was a statistically significant difference in the total efficacy rate between the two groups(P0.05),indicating that the total efficacy rate was higher in the treatment group than in the control group.Conclusion Ear point bloodletting plus pricking-cupping bloodletting has a reliable therapeutic effect on acne vulgaris.
