Reading's Contribution to the Construction of English Listening Schema Viewed from Schema Theory

Schema Theory holds that schema is the foundation of cognition.According to the theory,listening comprehension,in nature,is an active and complicated psychological process in which the inside schema are activated by the outside message.The key lies in the establishing and activation of inside listening schema and the construction of listening schema,in essence,is also the establishment of knowledge framework.The paper attempts to prove reading,as a means of enriching knowledge and acquiring information,contribute to the construction of linguistic schema,content schema and formal schema in English listening comprehension.
