Abstract

Objective To find the ultrasonic imaging features of thyroid nodules by regular re - examination of the suspicious nodules of thyroid cancer with ultrasound, and to improve the detection rate of thyroid cancer. Methods Seventy-seven patients with suspicious nodules of thyroid cancer were examined by ultrasound every three months, and the characteristics of two - dimensional and color Doppler flow imaging were recorded. According to pathological results, these nodules were divided into thyroid carcinoma group and benign tumor group which composed of nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma. Then the relationship between pathology and ultrasonic imaging was analyzed. Results Compared with benign group, the blinking blood signals and the size of single nodule were increased in thyroid papillary carcinoma group, there was significant difference between the two groups ( P0. 01). The specificity of blinking blood signals was 100% for diagnosis of thyroid papillary carcinoma. Conclusion The flashing flow signals and the size of single nodule should be focused on in monitoring the suspicious nodules of thyroid carcinoma.
