Abstract
The interaction between bovine serum albumin(BSA) and folic acid(FA)was investigated using fluorescence spectrum. The experimental results showed that the fluorescence intensity of BSA was quenched when FA was added. The quenching mechanism was a static quenching process. The quenching dates were analyzed based on Stern-Volmer equation, and the quenching constant, binding constant, binding sites and thermodynamic parameters were obtained. The electrostatic force played a major role in the binding of FA and BSA.
