Clinical and pathological manifestation analysis in 40 patients with lupus nephritis

Objective To evaluate the relation between pathologic type of lupus nephritis(LN) and its clinical findings and the laboratory examination.Method The renal biopsy was made in 40 cases of lupus nephritis (9 cases were subjected by repeated biopsy) and were classified.To analyse the clinical features and the laboratory examination features and clinical activity and renal pathologic activity of pathologic types.Results All patients have damage in renal, Ⅳ type LN was most common(42.5%).Among Ⅳ type LN,there was high incidence in hypertension,renal failure,the damage in blood system,C3 decreasing,It was marked that clinical activity and renal pathologic activity;Ⅳ type and Ⅴ type LN there were high incidence in nephrotic syndrome.Conclusions There is a relation between LN pathological chang and LN clinical manifestation and laboratory examination,The clinical findings and the laboratory examination estimate type of pathology and severe of renal damage.Appropriate treatment can help to improve the pathological type and long-term prognosis.
