Abstract
A pyrolysis experiment on wood chips has been done using an atmospheric pressure thermogravimetric analyzer and a pressurized thermogravimetric analyzer.Pyrolysis characteristic and kinetic parameters were studied by thermogravimetric analysis. The influences of heating rate and pressure on the process of wood chips pyrolysis were obtained. The experimental results of the atmospheric pressure show not only that the bigger the heating rate, the fiercer the pyrolysis reaction, but also that the bigger the pressure, the smaller the activation energy.with the increase of the pyrolysis pressure, the initial temperature of biomass pyrolysis and the temperature at which the pyrolysis rate reaches the peak value rise.It is indicated that kinetic compensation effect exists on the pressurized condition.
