Abstract
University spirit is an indispensable element which helps form a real university.University spirit is a product of western university.China's university has given birth to its own university spirit,but it is also influenced by the western universities.American university idea is typical,and it has important value of reference for the enhancement of university connotation and idea,and a better fulfillment of university mission in China.
