Cultural Industry and Regional Economic Growth:The Evidence from 14 Cities in Yangtze River Delta Area

Based on the endogenous growth theory and the data of the 14 cities in Yangtze River Delta Area from 1992 to 2006,this paper takes an empirical analysis on the relation between cultural industry and economic growth,as well as the operation mechanism of cultural industry's growth effect.The result indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between the development of cultural industry and economic growth in this area ever though high barrier to entry exists,and some factors such as the scale of human capital and capital inflow affect the extent of the growth effect.
