Abstract
Objective:To study the MRI finding of tuberculous meningitis'.Methods:Retrospectively analyze the MRI findings of 12 tuberculous meningitis. Results:On uncontrasted T1WI and T2WI images, meningeal lesions in the basal cistern region were detected in 5 cases.Abnormal meningeal thickening and enhancement were found in 11 patients.Meningeal and cerebral miliary tuberculous foci were demonstrated in 6 cases.Ependymal involvement was found in 2 patients and cranial nerves were affected in 1 patient. No abnormal meningeal enhancement was detected in 1 mild cases. Conclusion:Enhanced lesions in the basal cistern region is the main MRI finding in tuberculous meningitis.Focal or diffuse meningeal enhanced may found in active tuborculosis, and miliary tuberculous.
